MEET THE IMAGINE CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL
DIRECTORS & STAFF

Dr. Ryan Lee
Imagine Christian Preschool Founder & Director
Hi, my name is Ryan, and I am the founder/owner of Imagine Christian Preschool in San Jose. I grew up in the South Bay and met my beautiful wife in 2015. Then, we had 2 children. Now, we’re starting a preschool!
My earliest memory of being in education was when I was a freshman in high school, and I became a Sunday School teacher. That initial joy and love for teaching led me to San Jose State for my BA in Child Development and a master's in education from Santa Clara University. Finally, I got my doctorate in Education at USF. You can tell I really love learning and being in a school environment.
In my many years in education as a teacher, principal, and preschool director, I realized something was missing. The freedom to teach God’s word and to fulfill the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” (Matthew 28:19). I saw a great need to provide high-quality care and education for preschool-aged children, all while spreading the Gospel! So, I created my own school.

Ms. Becky Lee
Imagine Christian Preschool Co-Founder
Hi, my name is Becky Lee. I was born and raised in Queens, New York, and moved to the Bay Area in 2015 after marrying my wonderful husband, Ryan. We have two beautiful children. I love living here in sunny California!
As a child, I always knew I would be a teacher. I often played school with my cousins, tutored at a young age and taught Sunday School at my church.
I attended New York University and received my bachelor's in childhood and special education and my master's in early childhood literacy. I taught sixth-grade math with the New York City Department of Education for 9 years, and now I am currently in my 7th year of teaching kindergarten at a school in Santa Clara.

I am an experienced educator originally from New Jersey, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education and began my career in Elementary Education. During my teaching career, I furthered my expertise by completing a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. In 2013, I relocated to California, where I have enjoyed raising my five children in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. My hobbies include gardening, cooking, and hiking.
For the past ten years, I have focused on working with preschool-aged children, discovering a deep passion for this developmental stage. I have been dedicated to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where children can learn, play, and grow—both academically and spiritually—under my guidance. I am excited to get to know each child and I am eager to see them flourish in the classroom, all while growing in faith with Jesus.

I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and worked as a researcher in that field. Along the way, I also studied education as a minor during college in Korea and later completed Early Childhood Education coursework in the U.S. With this diverse background, I bring both knowledge and a caring heart to the classroom.
I’ve taught young children in Sunday school and always strive to love and guide them with the heart of Jesus. I believe every child deserves to be respected, trusted, and supported with joy. I enjoy creating fun, hands-on activities that inspire curiosity and growth, and I hope to share warmth, trust, and appreciation with each child.
Outside the classroom, I love hiking, playing sports, and traveling with my husband and son. We enjoy spending time in nature and are always thankful for the beauty of God’s creation.

My background working with young children goes way back when I had graduated from college with a degree in ECE/Child Psychology. I started working at a preschool in Santa Clara. I was there for about five years then I left and started working for the YMCA as a center director. I had worked for them for six years. I worked at another school with school age children as an extended care director. I worked at St. Martin's Elementary for about 12 years. I had to leave education to take care of my mom who passed in 2014. Then I went back to education working as a teacher in extended care at Bagby for about nine years, then came here to Imagine in June 2024.
What I enjoy about working with young children is reading and doing arts and crafts with them. What I liked doing for fun was taking care of my horse which I had for 25 years, and I enjoyed being around other horses and the barn dogs. I used to play soccer and basketball, but now I watch it on TV. I used to walk to the barn and make a pathway on one of the sides of the hill and go to the top of the mountain to pray. I also love passing out our Daily Bread Daily Devotionals and telling people about Jesus. I love listening to K-Love Radio (Chrisitan music). There is power in the NAME OF JESUS!
